Acton Central is one of the few areas of London to have kept a genuine village feel. The area grew in the nineteenth century, when the coming of the railway first allowed Londoners to live in the 'country' and travel up to the city. Acton Central was still a little village then and The Rocket was called The Station Hotel. The area still has a thriving local community, with The Rocket at its heart. Come and visit us!
